Jero Ahola

Professor

Jero Ahola was born in Lappeenranta, Finland, in 1974. He received the M.Sc. and D.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT), Lappeenranta, Finland, in 1999 and 2003, respectively. He is currently a Professor of Energy Efficiency in Electricity Driven Systems with the Department of Electrical Engineering at LUT. He has published more than 120 scientific publications and is an inventor in 16 patents or patent applications. His research interests include topics such as energy efficiency and condition diagnostics of electrical motor driven systems, solar photovoltaic systems, power-to-x systems and power line communication.
