Cyril Bajamundi

Research Scientist

Cyril Jose E. Bajamundi, Ph.D. is a Research Scientist at VTT. He specializes in ash chemistry model development to assess corrosion and agglomeration risk during co-combustion biomass, waste derived fuels and other solid fuels. He worked in solving dioxin and furan emissions during combustion of biomass and waste. Recently he is working in direct air CO2 capture to support power-to-gas/power-to-liquid technologies for energy storage, and development of polymeric adsorbent for CO2 capture. He has participated in EU projects and other national projects. Prior to joining VTT, he was an Assistant Professor in the University of the Philippines, Chemical Engineering Department with research focus on environmental photocatalysis. On his free time, he builds Arduino controlled educational toys for kids.
